Scotti G grew up just a block and a half from the ocean on the Jersey Shore, where he spent most of his childhood soaking in vinegar to soothe constant sunburns. This Jersey boy is half Italian, a quarter German, and a quarter Irish—and while his Italian mother begged him to wear a T-shirt at the beach, what kid ever listens? After graduating from Bucknell University with degrees in Economics and Japanese Studies, Scotti spent decades grinding through the corporate rat race. But his true passions were always comedy and music.

In 1989, after a near-death experience cut his music career short, Scotti turned to stand-up—and never looked back. His very first show at the Funny Bone in Cincinnati sealed the deal: he knew he was meant to make people laugh.

Now in his fourth decade of comedy, Scotti’s on-again, off-again career (mostly off, thanks to corporate relocations and chaotic schedules) is officially back on. While he still balances the nine-to-five, he hits the stage as often as possible—because at the end of the day, Scotti G just loves to make people laugh. And you know what they say: "what doesn’t kill you, makes you funny!"
